I was always an absolute flower-lover since the day I laid my eyes on the roses in my aunt’s garden.
Thinking back, I was always this absolute flower-lover since the day I laid my eyes on the roses in my aunt’s garden, the only little bit of colour in the small town of Onseepkans in the Nothern Cape.
Growing up in Kakamas (also in the Nothern Cape) I forced my mom to buy me the Garden & Home or Wedding Magazines at the age of ten at the only little supermarket in town at the time. I could sit in our garden for hours, looking at the beautiful flowers created in this magazine and I always knew: I would love to create something magical and perfect for other people one day.
After I graduated with a teaching degree I had the amazing opportunity to attend a six week intensive floral design course at one of the world’s most prestigious flower schools in New York City. The Flower School New York brings the most sought-after designers from all over the world to teach classes, this experience opened my eyes for more magical endeavors with flowers. By combining my passion for being creative and my love for flowers, I have created Blomstories, so that I can tell extravagant stories for others with my flowers.
